About Moelfre

Located on the east coast of the beautiful Isle of Anglesey in North Wales, Moelfre is an idyllic seaside fishing village with a picturesque beach and old fishermen's cottages looking over the bay. It has centuries of maritime history with tales of bravery, disasters, piracy and a working lifeboat. With its stunning coastline and countryside views, Moelfre is an ideal place to visit at any time of year.

Nearby Lligwy and Dulas have beautiful sandy beaches ideal for relaxing or a variety of water sports. Discover ancient ruins and a burial chamber in an area whose history dates back thousands of years. Enjoy stunning sea views along the coastal path where you may see dolphins, porpoise or seals. The panoramic view across and beyond Anglesey towards Snowdonia, the Isle of Man and Cumbria from the top of Bodafon Mountain is magnificent.

Go sea or freshwater fishing, take a boat trip to view the aquatic wildlife and see the coastline from a different perspective, or visit the treacherous rocks that mark the sites of some of Wales' most famous shipwrecks. There is a network of footpaths in the area for walkers, or those less energetic days just relax on one of the numerous beaches or visit one of the many gift shops, cafés and pubs in the area.
